Corporate Responsibility

Committed to Bolivian and local work force

  • Full time on-site team is 100% Bolivian
  • Actively training recent graduate geologists and technical staff through our intern program
  • Staff has expanded considerably since start of program in September 2020. Currently there are 14 geologists with 20 support staff working at Iska Iska on a rotational basis
  • Currently completing an upgrade of computer systems and enhanced training to handle expanded drill program. Preliminary metallurgical tests being carried out in laboratory at Oruro University
  • Local workers primarily from Tupiza and surrounding communities

Environment

Eloro Resources Ltd. Incorporates environmental matters as a basic planning for all its projects, complying with all applicable environmental laws, regulations and prescribed standards and criteria in Bolivia and elsewhere. Eloro Resources Ltd. promotes and implements effective practices for environmental protection, compliance, and emergency response; taking reasonable measures to ensure its operations are responsive to the environmental needs of the nearby communities.

Community Engagement

Health & Safety

Eloro Resources follows the protocol issued as an internal complement to the Biosafety Protocol for Activities in the Mining Sector, implemented by the Ministry of Mining and Metallurgy of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, May 2020. This protocol establishes the general biosafety measures that must be adopted in order to reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19 from human to human during the development of mining activities.

Eloro Resources also follows general requirements for the selection, delivery, use, conservation and maintenance of personal protective equipment that protects workers, employees, contractors and visitors from the dangers that exist in the Project areas and in those positions of work in which the need for its use is established, due to being affected by a risk that could not be avoided or sufficiently limited by technical means, collective protection or through work organization procedures.

Governance and Standards

The company has established a set of policies with respect to ethical business practices, personal conduct, environmental, safety and occupational health practices, competition and fair dealings, and disclosure of information that describes its commitment to promoting the effective functioning of personnel and improving the company performance.
