Management Team

Thomas Larsen is an executive in the resources sector with over 40 years of experience in the investment industry, specializing in corporate finance and management of junior resource companies, raising in excess of $200 million. Mr. Larsen is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Eloro Resources Ltd. (TSX-ELO) and Cartier Iron Corporation (CSE-CFE). Additionally, Mr. Larsen previously held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of Champion Iron Limited, an appointment he assumed on the completion of the merger of Australian-based Mamba Minerals Ltd. and TSX-listed Champion Iron Mines Limited to continue as Champion Iron Limited effective April 1, 2014. Prior to that merger he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Champion Iron Mines Limited, now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Champion Iron Limited.

Miles Nagamatsu has over 30 years of experience in accounting, management, lending, restructurings and turnarounds. Since 1993, Mr. Nagamatsu has acted as a Chief Financial Officer of public and private companies primarily in the mineral exploration and investment management sectors. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McMaster University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant.

Dr. Osvaldo Arce Burgoa is a professional geological and mineral processing engineer with 26 years’ experience in Bolivia. He has a Doctor of Engineering degree from the Tohoku University at Sendai, Japan and a Bachelor of Science degree in Geological Engineering from the San Andrés University, Bolivia. He is a former National Director of the Bolivian Geological Survey, Main Technical Advisor of the National Mining Corporation (COMIBOL), Exploration Manager and Chief Geologist in various mining and exploration companies.

Chris Holden currently is the VP Corporate Development for Eloro Resources and has been active in that role since December of 2019.  Mr. Holden has over 20 years experience as a Portfolio Manager and analyst in the global resource sectors, serving several of those as an award-winning fund manager for the IGIM Canadian and Global Resource funds.  Mr. Holden is CFA charter holder.

Jorge Estepa has over 30 years of experience with publicly listed companies in the areas of corporate management, development and investor relations and has served as a senior officer and/or director of several publicly traded resource companies. Mr. Estepa joined Eloro Resources as Vice President and Corporate Secretary in 1997.

Marcelo Casella brings more than 25 years of senior leadership experience across large-scale mining, infrastructure, and industrial projects in Latin America. His career includes senior regional roles in international finance, project management, and project finance across multiple jurisdictions. Marcelo holds a B.Sc. in Economics from Mackenzie University, Brazil, an MBA in Finance from FGV Business School, Brazil, and a Certificate in Economics & Finance in Mining from the University of Toronto.

Brent Wichenko has over 40 years experience in the investment Industry as a Portfolio Manager and Institutional Equity specialist providing investment solutions to High-Net-Worth Individuals and Institutions in Canada, the USA, UK, Europe and the Middle East.

Jimena has over 8 years’ experience as VP of Marketing and Logistics and Executive Assistant for Eloro. She is fully fluent in Spanish and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from York University.

Luc Pigeon is the founder of Gateway Solutions S.A.C., and has been a resident of Peru since 2006. Mr. Pigeon is a Professional Geologist (P.Geo) registered in the Province of Quebec and a Qualified Person as defined by National Instrument (“NI”) 43-101, and is the author of the La Victoria NI 43-101 Technical Report. He has been recently appointed General Manager of Eloro’s Peruvian subsidiary.

After 23 years of working as a lawyer and manager in South and Central America, Ana Moran, has acquired expertise in a variety of tasks related to all social and legal issues of mining in the Latin American context. She is familiar with the varied legal frameworks governing mining activity in several countries and knows how to approach the main stakeholders related to mining, both in high, governmental levels, and at local settings.

Dr. William N. Pearson is a noted leader in geosciences. He has more than 40 years of direct experience in the exploration and production of minerals worldwide. He has played an integral role in creating value that led to successful acquisitions of Desert Sun Mining Corp by Yamana Gold in 2006 and Central Sun Mining by B2 Gold in 2009. Dr. Pearson was the creator and founder of the Association of Professional Geoscientists from Ontario.

Mr. Mike Hallewell is the principal of MPH Minerals Consultancy Ltd., and he was appointed as Eloro's Senior Vice President Engineering Projects/Metallurgy of the Company in January 2024.
